All eyes on the summit — with the WSD-F20
Every adventure needs a reliable partnerFor its latest project, the experienced mountaineering team from CLEARSKIES chose an extremely tough expedition: ascending Mount Everest. Mount Everest in the Himalayas is the highest mountain in the world at 8848 m. In April and May 2017, exhibition leader Hannes Gröbner and his small team climbed the mountain's south side — equipped with the GPS-enabled WSD-F20 smart watch.
All of the equipment and provisions are carried up the mountain to camps 1 to 3 under the team's own power in several trips. The backpacks often weigh more than 20 kg, which at this height forces the mountaineers to use all their strength. By 2016, Mount Everest had been climbed almost 200 times without oxygen.
